Unlocking new user acquisition with Podcast ads for gaming
We helped Wooga diversify user acquisition for June’s Journey by launching podcast advertising as a scalable performance channel aimed at high-value US females aged 35+. Our goal was to move beyond saturated influencer platforms while maintaining strong ROI and LTV.
We built and executed a data-led testing and scaling roadmap, using our podcast analytics and competitor insights to identify high-potential verticals and shows.
By analysing indicators such as renewal rates and direct response performance, we secured premium placements at efficient CPMs and activated a mix of host-read and programmatic ads. We supported this with live monitoring and pixel-based tracking and attribution to ensure accurate delivery, real-time optimisation and reliable performance measurement and analysis at a granular level.
Through continuous testing and quarterly optimisation, we scaled podcast advertising across 450+ shows, 14 verticals, and 16 publishers. This approach delivered an annual ROI 36% above target, enabled budget growth of over 400%, and established podcasts as a reliable, profitable, and scalable user acquisition channel for June’s Journey.
